CRIF in Italy receives recognition as a 2023 Sustainability Leader
This accolade strengthens the company’s commitment to sustainability, contributing significantly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and underlining its role as a responsible company that is aware of the environmental and social challenges we are now facing.
CRIF, a leader in lending and credit information solutions, is pleased to announce that it has been included in the prestigious “2023 Sustainability Leaders” ranking in Italy.
The ranking was compiled by Il Sole24 Ore in collaboration with Statista, a leading independent market research institute specialized in rankings and business data analysis.
The “Sustainability Leaders” list ranks the top 200 large Italian companies that stand out for their commitment to sustainability, highlighting those companies that pay the greatest attention to environmental and social issues. The study analyzed around 1500 Italian companies, taking into account 45 key performance indicators (KPIs) taken from published sustainability reports and financial statements and referring to the three aspects of sustainability: environmental, social and governance.
CRIF Italia stood out for its policies and concrete actions taken to foster sustainable approaches, inside and outside the company. Factors taken into account included CO2 emissions, energy and water consumption, the presence of women in management positions, attention to the health and safety of workers, support for local communities, transparency and financial performance.
In 2020, CRIF Group started a process of identifying and reporting its environmental, social and governance impacts on a voluntary basis, through the annual publication of its Corporate Responsibility Report, in order to promote the Group’s commitment to actively contributing to the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of Agenda 2030, signed in 2015 by all UN Member States.
CRIF Italia has introduced ESG policies that strengthen its commitment to diversity & inclusion, human rights and the environment. The Group is gradually integrating more and more ESG factors into its business models and business strategy, including through the definition of short, medium and long-term objectives, aimed at generating a positive impact on the environment, society and stakeholders of the CRIF ecosystem.
“Being recognized as one of the Sustainability Leaders in Italy is a milestone for CRIF. We are proud of the progress we have made in integrating sustainability into our business strategy and will continue to work to drive practical initiatives that have a positive impact for our stakeholders and the environment. This recognition motivates us to pursue even more improvements and become an example of excellence in sustainability,” commented Valentina De Lorenzo, CRIF Sustainability Manager.
CRIF is determined to continue its commitment to sustainability and to contribute significantly to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, underlining its role as a responsible company that is aware of the environmental and social challenges we are now facing.
